Kodak-cameras-easyshareIt’s the worst day ever when you drop your camera and it doesn’t turn on.  Though dropping a camera can ruin it, it doesn’t mean that the situation can’t be fixed.  First of all, some new cameras come with manufacturer warranties.  In addition, some camera stores also sell warranties that will cover parts, service, and labor for fixing or replacing your camera.  Be sure to check your camera’s warranty first.  If you discover your camera is not under warranty, it’s not the end of the world.  Several camera manufacturers offer services to repair cameras at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a new one.  Amongst these, Nikon and Kodak cameras have repair services, and several other manufacturers will also repair your camera or recommend a camera service shop.

To avoid this situation in the first place, try wearing your camera around your neck or wrist whenever you have it out.
