The Olympus Stylus 550WP is a go any where digital camera.  It does as well under water as it does on land. This camera is slim light weight, has an aluminum case and a rubber O-ring gasket that seals the elements.  This camera is good for a depth of 10 feet and has a underwater scene mode which is good for the pool or snorkeling and can be used on a water slide.

Olympus Stylus 550WP has an Auto mode built in and identifies what you are shooting at, land scape’s, portrait, night shots and sports.  The camera adjust the setting to capture the best quality pictures. The 550WP is hassle free feature does most of the thinking for you and this is good for a first time user.

The Olympus Stylus 550WP digital camera has face detection your portraits and group shots will be good. The Stylus 550 WP can detect up to 3 faces in the frame and will Auto focus and will capture a sharp portrait and group pictures.

Vacations are the stuff memories are made of. Everyone enjoys a little time away every once in a while. The best part about vacations with your family is showing off your photographs to friends and coworkers.

My family likes to take a lot of sailing vacations. This means we are out on the open ocean exposed to all the elements. Rain and wind are common factors in open ocean sailing. I always bring my waterproof digital camera with me because it’s sturdy enough to withstand all the elements and precise enough to take beautiful pictures.

When I went camera shopping a few months ago, a helpful salesperson told me all about the best digital cameras.  In his opinion, Olympus digital cameras were the top of the line products.  He told me that Olympus had been making cameras for quite some time, and had perfected the model for photography.  He showed me a few Olympus cameras that had a lot of unique features other brands didn’t.  I also noticed even the basic Olympus cameras had a lot more to offer than the high end models from other brands. 

I ended up buying an 8.0 Megapixel Olympus camera, and have since used it to photograph all kinds of events.  It’s compact enough to fit in my coat pocket, but powerful enough to take images of such quality I can examine the pores on peoples faces (not that I’d really want to!).  It’s nice to have a reliable and high powered camera; when we take family pictures, everyone always wants to use mine! 

This last week several of us traveled to the Great Smokey Mountains to see the change of fall colors there.  I took my Olympus Stylus 1010 Digital Camera and took several pictures of the fall foliage.  The colors were great this time of the year.  We also wanted to go there before the rains that were forecast-ed for the weekend.

The Olympus Stylus 1010 Digital Camera performed better then expected.  I found that the Olympus Stylus 1010 Digital Camera is a 10 Mega Pixel Camera.  I have also found that the more Mega Pixels you have the better the camera as the have a much sharper picture. As you can see this picture has a wonderful color and detail.

Olympus Camera Company was established in 1919 in Tokyo, Japan.  This company was under a different name in the beginning and they started out by making microscopes and thermometers.  Olympus Company has changed it name a few time sense it was founded.  Olympus Company was named after Mount Olympus in Greece  for the gods in Greek mythology.

Then in 1950 Olympus designed and introduced the Pen model camera this camera was ahead of its time.  The Pen Camera was able to use half of a frame of film for each picture.  This camera allowed 72 pictures on a standard 36 exposure roll of film  (35 MM film).  The Olympus Pen Camera was portable and compact.

Olympus Camera designed a full frame professional camera to compete with the Nikon and Canons best sellers, this was called the OM system.  A new trend developed toward the compact camera and lenses.  The OM system was designed with a through the lens flash system.  However, Olympus did not produce any auto focus camera as the competition did.

Olympus is one of the leaders in the manufacturing of Digital Cameras today.  Olympus is a major designer of Digital Camera Single Reflex (DSLR) cameras.   Olympus introduced the E series camera.

Olympus Company today designs different types on electronics  and medical equipment and they are well known for this world wide.
